At Vintage Vines Genealogy, photo restoration is one of our most requested services. Whether the photo is faded, torn, water-damaged, scratched, or heavily degraded, I use careful digital techniques to repair and preserve it while staying true to the original.

Colorization is available as an add-on service for black & white or faded color photos. I colorize with care for historical accuracy so clothing, skin tones, and overall appearance feel natural and true to the era.

Detailed consultation about the photo and your goals
High-resolution scan or upload of the original*
The digital original is never manipulated
Careful restoration work (multiple review stages)
Final delivery of the restored image + original for comparison*

Turnaround: Most restorations are completed within 7–14 days, depending on complexity.

*Digital handling of all photos is included in pricing — any physical or printed product is charged extra.

Simple Restoration

Lighting and color adjustments, light cleanup, straightening, and cropping.

Standard Restoration

Minor tears, creases, water spots, moderate damage, and more detailed repair work.

$35 per photo

Complex Restoration

Severe damage such as large creases, tears, missing sections, heavy deterioration, or multi-layer repairs.

$40 per hour (1-hour minimum)

Colorization

Colorization is available as an add-on to any restoration. I colorize with care for historical accuracy so clothing, skin tones, and overall appearance feel natural and true to the era.
